Assignment: Sketching 5 Different Objects 5 Ways

A well designed product speaks for itself. Product that suits humans to an intimate level, where user never find a flaw, rather astonishes by small details that it founds while using the product to its best.

I have been using this product to its fullest, and the form factor has been the most supporting design which never made myself look for another one.

Design details such as the bent shape of the ear which hold the ear-piece in place in everyday hustle. The inner ear-piece directed straight towards the ear canal, to deliver no strain on the ear tissue. The ear-piece is not circular, but oval in shape to provide enough friction in the ear canal for better stability. The grips on the soft silicone that sits in the ear, brings confidence in you to move all the way you aim to, during exercise or motion-full activity.

Vasaka Flower / Malabar Nut / Justicia Adhatoda / Ardusi

Vasaka flower is an amazing piece of art from the nature. Vasaka flower has always kept me mesmerizing about its form. I know about this flower as the plant it grows on has highly valued medicinal properties. Ardusi leaves are boiled in water and the potion is given to people suffering cough and cold. My mother always explains about the benefit of this plant and also keeps a plant at home and maintains its growth well. She use to relate this flower with the lion, a screaming lion, and gives you the power to scream free like a lion. It's unique form factor was very inspirational. Along with different types of exercises, I have developed deep gratitude towards my mom and the nature. Sketching such a flower challenged me to be accurate, and be cautious of the surface transitions and flow of organic lines.

Interior Design

Imagination over Switch Restaurant by Karim Rashid

Karim Rashid, as many would be knowing, he's a well renowned Furniture and Interior Designer. He is a very jolly and colourful person. His designs are abstract and expressive.

I thought that Karim Rashid style of emotions will help me stretch over basic sketching skills. I tried to generate an interiors inspired by the the style of Karim Rashid, particularly this Switch Restaurant in Bahrain.

Environment Design

Imagination over the hustling 'Shivranjani BRTS Bus Stop'

The everyday bustling space of Ahmedabad, the Shivranjani BRTS Bus Stop, is a great example of city planning and space organization. This space includes, common passenger vehicle roads, junction, flyover and a dedicated bus lane and bus stop. The sketches sort of shows my way of representing this in a slightly similar space in future.
