Colour Changing Objects

Colour interaction, as the name suggests, happens when some colour known to us due to its certain wavelength that hits the eye is different that was we have generally named it as.
Res doesn't appear red, blue is not the same blue and yellow is different too, why is that so?
It happens because of the mixed wavelength and the missing wavelength of the incident light.
Here are some of the examples where the comparison of different lights incident on a particular object and the differences in colours considered by out eyes. The quadrant style of presentation shows the white, red, yellow and blue incident light in top-left, top-right, bottom left and bottom right respectively. The resultant colours taken from the same location are compared below.







Here is a great example to understand how all pigments works in different lights. Same colours in white light, but different colours seen and perceived with exposure to different colours.
